I was a Volunteer Psychologist in the ENTOS EKTOS, Volunteers Association for the Support of Minors and Youth, for 3 years. There I worked with refugees, delinquent teenagers, and children from institutions with mental health and behavioral problems, such as aggression, depression, and substance abuse. The environment was emotionally charged, with many challenges. My co-volunteers and I developed psycho-educational activities to support our targeted groups and help them enhance their social skills. We organized weekly discussions with a variety of topics, such as individual responsibility, "our inner child", rights, etc. We calmly handled cases of violence, especially between children, when they escalated, or when they were directed at us.
